The Fourth was created to help organize and empower communities
to dismantle the injustice system as it exists today. We target the root of the problem–policing, the armed manifestation of historical oppression in our country. Together we will create a free and safe society. We will accomplish this by empowering leaders in the communities most impacted

Problem
Police Departments operate with little to no accountability or oversight. Even when big settlements are paid out, no fault is assigned, and the burden falls on taxpayers.
Solution
- End Qualified Immunity for all public servants
- Require Police Departments to carry liability insurance that comes out of their budget.
- Federal Standards for Reporting, Operating, Hiring of police officers.
Problem
Police Departments create a military style culture that begins during their academy training. Over the last 20 years we have seen a sharp increase in the militarization of police gear, appearance and tactics.
Solution
- Elimination of no-knock warrants
- End the 1033 Program, which allows police departments to obtain military equipment
- End bootcamp style police academy training
Problem
Society expects police officers to solve all our societal ills. This is unfair to them and not practical for creating safe communities.

- End Patrolling & Traffic Stops
- Remove Student Resource Officers from schools
- Focus on violent crime investigations
